Master Tong was born in the Liu Family a Kung Fu family originally from Hong Kong in a village with generations of Kung Fu (Wah San Chune). Father, Ying Yan Liu trained in Iron Ox (鐵牛), Iron Palm (鐵沙掌) and had his own style of Kung Fu, Liu Gar Kung Fu (廖家拳) and even with other arts like Judo and Jujitsu.

Master Tong started Kung Fu at 5 YEARS OLD being taught by his father. His father being a big Kung Fu fan started his own personal Kung Fu club, The Ching Wu Association, and in doing so trained with the top Kung Fu masters in this country of that generation (at the time very few non Chinese were taught, Master Tong’s father was one who broke the mould by accepting non Chinese).

This is where Master Tong gained from the experience of the top masters, Grandmaster Joseph Cheng, a fascinating Kung Fu man of awesome talent and ability one of the best  in Wing Chun Kung Fu, Grandmaster Jimmy Chan (father of Hung Gar Kung Fu in the North West), masters Ho Sing and Lee Lin of Bamboo Forest Temple Mantis Kung Fu and the like.

With experience and teaching from the most famous of masters and grandmasters...

Later he followed Wing Chun Grandmasters Ip Chun, Samuel Kwok and Ip Ching. These ARE the top people in Wing Chun Kung Fu. In terms of knowledge of this art you can rely on Master Tong’s massive wealth of experience. You want someone with the best of knowledge and experience look no further.

You are a beginner?..

Master Tong has been teaching Kung Fu (General Term to mean Chinese Martial arts. In China normally called Wushu) for a very long time and does it PROFESSIONALLY (as far as we know THE only full time professional Kung Fu instructor in the area.) He has students who have come as beginners and have stayed for years and has a group who have all been with him over 20 years.

The club also has a policy of taking care of beginners – making sure that he/she is comfortable and to help to get a footing in the art. Master Tong has been very successful in this area with students who has started with nothing and are now certified experts in this field and some now teaching themselves.

You can be ordinary and started from the bottom and literally become extraordinary.

Are an experienced martial artist?...

We have practitioners of other arts who want the brilliant close quarter skills of Wing Chun Kung Fu and also weapons work. Some are already masters of their arts with high level Black Belts (up to 6th, 7th and even 8th degree Black Belts and some with multiple Black Belts in different arts) and have their own clubs and organisations.

Master Tong is experienced in teaching those who already at a high level in martial arts. If you are already high level feel assured with Master Tong who is rated highly even outside of his own art with instructors under him around the country. He can take you to the highest of levels.
